How to apply?
Admission Information: 2022 - 24
- ELIGIBILITY:-
- Candidates should be graduated in a school subject from a recognized university.
- Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (General) / or in the Master's Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.
- Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master's Degree row.
- Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours).
- In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General).
- For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (A/B)/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. Rules.
- Relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed in graduation or post graduation in case of SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates. That is, in such cases minimum 45% marks will be required instead of 50% marks.
- Age limit: Age of Fresher candidate as on 31st August, 2022, would be less than 37 years (relaxation as per Govt. of West Bengal).
- School subjects of teaching will be offered are according to the New Curriculum of WBUTTEPA .
- Process of online form fill up:
- All the terms & conditions and undertaking must be read carefully before going to fill up the online form and only when the same is acceptable, complete the process of filling up admission form with all documents uploaded which are required. Any mistake committed by the applicants will incur rejection of their applications.
- First, register yourself with the help of your e-mail Id and Mobile number. These two are very important, because frequent message etc. may be communicated through the same.
- Fill up the application form electronically as per cues/directions generated while proceeding step by step.
- After entering general information and academic qualification, the candidate has to accept the Terms & Conditions and Undertaking by a ‘click’ at the appropriate space. A unique Id will be automatically generated for future references. Multiple application of one candidate will be rejected.
- Verification of all scan copy of the original documents will be verified with the online form submitted (document verification), after that she/he will be recommended for admission by the admission committee. If any merit-listed candidate fails to upload her/his all original documents in the admission portal, her/his candidature will be automatically cancelled and the next candidate would be given the opportunity for admission.
4.1 For Fresher Candidates:
- Age proof certificate
- All academic mark sheets and certificates
- SC/ST/PWD/ OBC-A and OBC-B certificates.
4.2 For Deputed Candidates:
Deputed Teachers (as per NCTE norms) from recognized Secondary & Higher Secondary School of West Bengal are eligible to apply.
The deputed applicants must upload an attested copy of M.C. resolution and the approval letter of Service online form fill up in regard to his/her service.
Following additional documents are required to be submitted positively on the day of joining the B.Ed. programme.

Release order from the Headmaster / Headmistress.
- Attested copy of M.C. resolution with regards to his/her deputation, countersigned by D. I. of Schools (Secondary).
- Certificate from Competent Authority whether the candidate teach in Class V-XII.
- A certificate with the following information is to be submitted from the Secretary or Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and counter signed by the D.I. of Schools of the District concerned.
- The deputed candidates are required to produce “No Objection Certificate” from their employer allowing them to pursue the course of studies (from September, 2022 to June, 2024) on full-time basis and candidates pursuing any other Course of Studies/ Part-time or Full-time Job/Full-time Research Work and the like will not be allowed to pursue the course simultaneously.
N.B: Some deputed candidates may be appointed in such subjects that are not offered by the college as method subjects. Such candidates may be offered any one method subject (as studied at UG/PG) offered by the college. In such cases the applicants have to seek permission of the concerned DI (District Inspector) allowing the candidate to study method subject other than the one in which he/she is appointed.
**Candidates pursuing any other course in the WBUTTEPA or any other University during 2022-24 academic sessions are not eligible for admission to the B. Ed. programme for the session 2022-24.
5. Scoring Procedure:
Admission will be on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying examinations and as per norms of University. Maximum Scores against marks for different level of examinations will be as follows:

**For scoring in HS, the marks obtained in best of five subjects excluding Environmental Studies will be considered.
N.B. Candidates applying with CGPA/SGPA scores must submit supporting documents in respect of conversion from CGPA/SGPA score to percentage of marks from appropriate authority at the time of admission.
Please note very carefully that as per letter F.No. DEB/QMC/2013 dated 23.08.2013 issued by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110002, University established or incorporated by or under a State Act shall operate Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programme only within the territorial jurisdiction allotted to it under its Act and in no case beyond the territory of the State of its location. Hence, candidates who have obtained degree through ODL mode of learning and wish to apply for admission under this college must fulfill the above criteria issued by UGC.
On the basis of on-line submission of application, the College shall prepare a provisional and then final merit list after verification of the accuracy and authenticity of the data submitted by the applicants. The rank of the provisional merit list may change, after correction by the applicant and verification by the college authority, due to any inaccuracy / insufficiency and lack of authenticity of the data entered. Applicants shall remain responsible for the inaccuracy / insufficiency and lack of authenticity of the data entered. Owing to this reason the candidature may be cancelled at any stage of admission and even during the continuation of the programme.
